When the surrounding temperature rises, the conductive plastic produces micro-molecule expansion, and the carbon particles gradually separate, causing the circuit to be interrupted, the resistance rises, and the heating wire automatically reduces the power output. When the ambient temperature becomes cold, the plastic returns to the micro molecular contraction state, the carbon particles are connected to form a circuit, and the heating power of the heating wire automatically rises. In this way, this electric heat cable is not only able to self control the temperature effectively, but also achieve energy-saving purpose.

As the heating elements are parallel to each other, it can regulate its heat output automatically all along its length according to the change of the ambient temperature, at low temperatures, the polymer shrinks, there are many conductive paths, allowing current to flow between conductors, on the contrary, as temperature increases, it disconnects the circuit to reduce heat generation automatically, then it loops depending on the change of the temperature.
